Bill Lisbon: MV-22 Osprey pilots, crew and mechanics from New River, N.C., prepare for a night flight as the sun sets on the air station’s flight line Friday during the final exercise of the Weapons and Tactics Instructors course. The semiannual course, run by Marine Aviation and Weapons Tactics Squadron 1, ended this week. The visiting squadrons included Ospreys and Marines from Marine Medium Tiltroter Squadron’s 261 and 263 and Marine Medium Tiltroter Training Squadron 204.

Ray Lewis: Afghan National Police trained by the Police Mentoring Teams of Task Force 2d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Afghanistan, load into their police truck in Delaram, Afghanistan. The police are serving with the Marines of TF 2/7 who deployed to Afghanistan earlier this year to conduct counterinsurgency operations with an emphasis on police mentoring in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
