Photojournalist of the Year 1st Place - LCpl. Bryan Carfrey:  Pvt. 1st Place: LCpl. Bryan Carfrey, Defense Media Activity (DMA) Headquarters Marine Corps
He won the Outstanding New Writer award and another for his Pictorial entry and the combination of this and other work at Division of Public Affairs in Washington swayed the judges. “There are so many Marines out there that have done more than me,” said Carfrey. “I just did the best I could on all of my assignments.”
