Important Conference Information

The Presidential Inn and the Conference Center are located side-by-side.

The Club at Andrews is north of each and located on Arnold Avenue.

The Freedom Hall Dining Facility is in Bldg. 1628 is between Arkansas Rd. and D Street fairly close to the Presidential Inn.  If you are staying at the Presidential Inn and have your room key you will be able to eat breakfast and dinner there.  Breakfast hours:  5:30 to 8 a.m.  Dinner:  4 to 6 p.m.

Conference Registration will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the Conference Center.

Monday evening’s Welcome Aboard is a cookout and informal.  It will be held at the picnic area to the rear of the Presidential Inn beginning at 6 p.m.

Wednesday evening the pre-banquet reception will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. at Club Andrews.

Tuesday Bus Schedule:  For those persons wishing to visit and tour the new Defense Media Activity and DINFOS at Ft. Meade, the bus will depart promptly from the Presidential Inn at 8:30 a.m.  The bus will be returning to the Presidential Inn at approximately 4 p.m.  The bus will then depart from the Presidential Inn at 5:45 p.m. for the ceremony at the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Statue) in Arlington.  You should have enough time to eat your meal at 4 p.m. at the Dining Hall before boarding the bus at 5:45 p.m.

Hospitality Room: There will be a hospitality area located behind the Presidential Inn (picnic area) beginning at 8 p.m. Monday and continuing to 11 p.m.  The Hospitality Area will open on Tuesday following return from the Marine Corps War Memorial, approximately 10 p.m. and remain open until midnight.  On Wednesday night the Hospitality area will be open following the banquet and closing at midnight.

Please Note:  It is realized this is a new situation for many of us who have been used to hotel conferences.  It is the best we can do under the circumstances.  If you are driving, please invite those who do not have transportation to ride with you.
