CC helps launch legal court for vets

Life member, John Barwell and his colleagues were concerned that while it is common for law schools to offer law clinics for juvenile justice, criminal defense, family law, domestic violence cases and a range of other needs, such offerings for veterans remain rare cases.

So, University of Arizona law students and faculty members volunteer at a recently established special court that helps veterans arrested for misdemeanors. Called the Veteran’s City Court, it is an alternative to jail time for the defendants. See the full story here.
