Reservations open for Tribal Elder dinner at conference

Tribal Elders Annual Grand Epicurean Orgy

“A Taste of New Orleans”  awaits CCs at this year’s non-conference dinner getaway. A sample of favorite Creole dishes will be available for all who enjoy new dining experiences.  For more timid palates, an alternative fried shrimp platter will be offered.

“Tribal Elders” will meet outside the Westin’s Iberville St. entrance at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14., walk casually  4 1/2  blocks to the Riverfront Restaurant at 541 Decatur St. where we have 7 p.m. reservations. (A short taxi ride for those with mobility issues.)

A fixed-price of $35  per person will be due upon registration. Reservations should be made as soon as possible.  This event is limited to the first 48 people who sign up by contacting  CC Treasurer Tom Kerr by phone or email before the conference or in person at the Westin.

Call Tom at 850 897-7743 (home) or 850 496-4133 (cell).  Email:  tripstogo@cox.net.  It is strongly recommended that reservations by made early so as not to be left out of this traditional New Orleans dining experience.  The first 48 people to contact Tom will be on the list.  Others may be wait-listed in case of cancellations. Beer, wine and cocktail service  will be available (pay as you go).

The restaurant is located a block from Jackson Square and across from the Jackson Brewery for after dinner exploring. The Cafe Du Monde, serving the traditional New Orleans nightcap (or eye-opener) cafe au lait
and beignets is also nearby.

Dress is smart casual. (more…)
