All-expenses paid trip to Vegas for MVJ’s inaugural journalism workshop

Published by Jason Fudge on

Our inaugural Journalism Immersion Workshop in Spring 2020 has taken a shift to the West. We’ll be headed to Vegas from approx. April 18-22 at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show to support the career development of military veterans in journalism, especially those at the beginning of their careers in media. The event will include:
• Panel discussions with senior national journalists
• A visit to a local media outlet
• A career fair where you’ll meet HR people from major media companies
• Opportunities to socialize/network with other journalists and military veterans in journalism
• Participation in other NAB events
If you are selected, MVJ and our partners will pay for your airfare and lodging and provide per diem for the duration of the event. Our programming will be about two days.
The event is being held at the NAB Show because more than 100,000 media professionals converge in Vegas for this annual event. There will be endless networking opportunities.
MVJ has already selected a contingent of veterans from the previous application period (when we were going to do the event in NYC). We have some additional funding that will allow us to send more veterans.

Please click here to apply now!

Deadline for applications is Jan. 24, 2019 at 6pm Eastern.

If you know anyone else who might be interested in applying, please direct them to the MVJ website (www.mvj.network) to sign up. Once they are a member, they can apply using the URL above.
We are partnering with another prominent national veteran services organization that has generously made this opportunity possible. We will provide more details about this new partnership as we finalize details.
Best,
Military Veterans in Journalism
