O’Neal transplant surgery successful

The long-awaited kidney transplant surgery for Foundation President Don O’Neal went off like clockwork on Thursday, June 13 in San Antonio, TX and he and his donor daughter are doing very well.

CCHQ had an early morning call Friday from Don’s wife, Yvette, reporting that all went well and that he was currently in intensive care.  Then, at 3:30 the same day, Executive Director Jack Paxton received a call from Don himself.  “I feel better this moment than I have for the past few months.  To say it was a relief would be understating it.”

Don indicated that, as long as everything went well, he expected to be home this coming Wednesday. He is able to take calls and the direct phone to his room is 210.575.2207.
