Frank Burke hands history over to Fred Lash
CC President Don O’Neal has announced the retirement of long-time USMCCCA Historian, Frank Burke, and the appointment of immediate past president, Fred “Flash” Lash, as his successor. While Frank is retiring he has agreed to remain Historian Emeritus.
“As long as I can remember Frank has served as our historian,” O’Neal said. ” We are fortunate that he has chosen not to simply retire, but rather has elected to continue to serve the association as Historian Emeritus. He will help us move on to the next phase of relating our history to a new generation of Marines while helping those of us who served before recall the contributions we have made to telling the Marine Corps story throughout the years.”
