2022 USMCCCA | MCRC | COMMSTRAT Symposium and Professional Training

Published by Jason Fudge on

This gathering which was postponed last year, will include vital occupational field training and networking for the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Communication Strategy and Operations and the United States Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association.

We will be bringing back the “shootout” where teams of Marine Communicators will compete to produce a story that will be judged during the Symposium. Also, one of the highlights of the week long event is the annual awards banquet where we honor the winners of the Visual Information and Excellence in Communication (VIEC) awards. The winners will receive plaques, certificates and the accolades of their peers.

In addition to daily training, (schedule to be announced later) there will be time to relax in the evening at the command post hospitality suite, play some games and bond with other storytellers, past and present. The hotel is attached to The Florida Mall so there are ample restaurants within walking distance without going outside.

The room cost is $117 per night. You can make reservations using this link or by calling the hotel at 800-588-4656 and asking for the USMCCCA rate.

Please reserve early as the amount of rooms blocked out for this event are limited. You can cancel up to 24 hour prior to arrival at no charge. Deadline is July 21, 2022 for the special rate.
