When I took over as Executive Director in 2005 one of the first Marines at DivPA that I began working with was MSgt. Kyle Olson, Plans Chief.  Over the next three years he was my ”go to guy” and he never failed me.  Granted we have other good friends including Col. Dave Lapan, LtCol. Matt McLaughlin, Maj. John Caldwell, MGySgt. Phil Mehringer and others but Top Olson was the glue that helped cement the excellent relationship that now exists.

On Friday, April 4 at the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, Olson received orders to the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve from MajGen. (s) Boomer Milstead, CG, MCRC and Olson’s former PA Director of Information.  My personal parting gift was a one-year membership in USMCCCA and our continued best wishes in his civilian pursuits.
