James Chittenden – Candidate for Board of Directors
Editors Note: For the first time in many years, we have five candidates for two open seats on the Association’s Board of Directors. We are introducing you to one candidate per day, in no particular order. Please remember to vote via absentee ballot if you cannot be at the annual business meeting in Atlanta Aug. 19-23.
Candidate 3 of 5
James Chittenden is a sought-after consultant for entrepreneurs who want a strong and orderly start to their business, and to business owners looking for ways to reach new levels of success. He is a former stockbroker, business banker and U.S. Marine Corps officer who is an accomplished entrepreneur himself. He has authored several books and courses in business, marketing, finance, and public relations.
Chittenden also authored The Public Triumph-Public Relations for the Strong…and Those Who Want to Be, and his works have been published in many magazines and newspapers, including Forbes and The Houston Chronicle. A masochist and glutton for punishment, Chittenden is an amateur boxer as well as a professional boxing and MMA official in his spare time.
Chittenden said, “My number one priority is connecting active (separating) and reserve Marines in our occupational field with employers; finding ways to help ease the transition if applicable.”
