Sgt. deBree earned more than $6,000,000 in unpaid advertising through television, radio and billboard advertising, helped spread the Marine Corps message and reached out to the target audiences of prospects and influencers in his area of operations.  He was recognized as MPA of the year for the 1st Marine District and continues to support his fellow Marines through the end of the year with the high school awards program, District Warrior articles and enhanced area canvassing events.

McAdam has continuously demonstrated a propensity for handling multiple diverse tasks.  His knowledge of media relations, public affairs, and protocol extends beyond the expectations of his current grade.
Constantly responsible for numerous events, often happening simultaneously, Sgt. McAdam juggles everything, from Educators Workshops, Enhanced Area Canvassing Events, and College Job Fairs, to obtaining nearly $500,000 in free advertising from various vendors in his Area of Operation.  He does it all in a seamless manner with a quick wit and a professional demeanor.
As one of the command’s most trusted advisors, Sgt. McAdam has been called upon to handle sensitive matters that, if not dealt with in an expedient and professional manner, could have resulted in a diminished image of the Marine Corps in the local area.
Sgt. McAdam has had an inspirationally positive effect on this command and his nomination for MPA of the year is well deserved.

Staff Sgt Andrew J. Hurt

Staff Sgt Hurt has consistently gone above and beyond what is expected of a Marketing and Public Affairs Marine while performing his duties at Recruiting Station Nashville. A mission oriented Marine, he fully understood the purpose and the drive behind his billet and used that knowledge to consistently and constantly reach out to his target audience using diverse means to gain their attention.Keeping the recruiter in the front of his mind at all times, he created a public service announcement program that garnered over $200,000 in free advertising for the Marine Corps. Additionally, he coordinated events that raised over 11,000 leads for his area recruiters.

Above all else, his reliability as a Marine is a character trait that stands out the most and was a deciding factor in naming him the 6th Marine District MPA of the Year. His personal accountability and can do attitude was always evident in the products he produced in the timely manner in which he completed them, often with very short timelines.
